Nursing students see boat fatalities as a public health issue

All too often, a sun-kissed day spent out on the water will end in tragedy because boaters ignore common-sense safety precautions, and a pair of Fairfield University nursing students say they’re on a mission to reduce that toll. For their class project, the public health nursing students, Steffi Williams, 40, of Milford and Joelle Constantino, 30, of Orange, are producing a safety video that they hope will be shown at outlets that rent kayaks and at marinas.
