Guitarist de Grassi performing to Japanese silent film at Quick Center

Yasujiro Ozu’s “A Story of Floating Weeds” may be a silent film but when Alex de Grassi watched it for the first time, he heard music… De Grassi has since brought that sound to life in an original score for the 84-minute, black-and-white Japanese film which he will perform at Fairfield University’s Quick Center for the Arts on Sunday, March 20. The performance will accompany a screening of “A Story of Floating Weeds.”
