Conn. unemployment stuck at historic highs

Joblessness in Connecticut last month topped the 7.9 percent rate in New England, according to numbers released Friday by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. “It’s a very complicated story,” said Edward Deak, a Fairfield University economist. “It’s not just that Connecticut is not competitive. It’s a whole bunch of things going on.”
