3-D Printer creates prototypes from formulas

“It [3-D printer] will print solid objects one thin layer at a time,” said Jerry Sergent, chairman of the electrical engineering program at Fairfield University. Doug Lyon, a professor of engineering at Fairfield University and president of the Connecticut Inventors Association, sees the 3-D printer presenting limitless advantages for inventors. “If you can conceive it, you can make it,” Lyon said.
