Robert January grew up playing baseball, studied philosophy in college, worked as a journalist and found success in the oil trading business. Then, after being exposed to prehistoric art – or what some call “cave art” or “rock art” – in the Middle East, he was inspired to become an artist. January’s art now is on display at Fairfield University’s Quick Center. The solo exhib it, “Art & Human Consciousness,” goes through Dec. 6.
